Inspection Summary:

The International Colleges of Islamic Science were first accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education in 1998, and most recently re-inspected in June 2003.

ICIS's teaching programme is one of ""blended" learning, using local tutors in its overseas centres to deliver its own Diploma programmes built around material recorded in UK, or working in partnership with overseas universities to deliver degree programmes. BAC's inspection was restricted to the London headquarters of ICIS. They considered the quality of the management to be excellent, and that the systems used to record and monitor student progress to be extremely efficient. The Colleges had contracted a strong body of visiting lecturers to create the material issued from the centre. The College had a very explicit mission to deliver a high quality of education to those who might otherwise be excluded, and the inspectors considered that it was fulfilling that mission.

The International Colleges of Islamic Science were awarded continuing accreditation in July 2003.
